An even more significant &quot;value exchange&quot; might be that in exchange for their work on the committee, they can shape the organization&#039;s future operations or service offerings, providing increased opportunity for committee members and other constituents.</description>

		<description>This is a good idea, because it is, essentially, a contracting between the meeting leadership and the meeting attendees.  Attendees perform better when they know the expectations for their involvement.  I can see this being an explicit discussion at the front of the meeting so everyone is clear about expectations.</description>
